Q. Who should join the Global BPO Forum?
A. CxOs and Senior Executives in charge of Global Sourcing Decisions
Q. Why do executives join the Global BPO Forum?
A. Most executives cite the Global BPO Forum as an enabler to increasing their effectiveness, and lower their costs around BPO. The Global BPO Forum assists members with current business challenges and helps members avoid reinventing the wheel as they address challenges that have been shared with their peers.
Q. How much time of a time investment is requirement of members?
A. We encourage members to participate in some type of forum event or discussion at least quarterly. Some members devote a significant amount of time to the discussion boards or research projects, but this is all a matter of individual choice and need.
Q. Are members required to share information with you?
A. No, members are free to participate in individual research projects or not, as schedule and preference allow. More than 90 percent of our members participate in our telephone and on-site interviews, generally reporting that they learn as much as they contribute through their interactions with our research staff.
Q. Do you work with any consulting firms?
A. While we won't endorse particular consultants in our work, we do engage in discussions with consultants well versed in BPO.
Q. How do you determine your research agenda for the year?
A. Like everything with the Global BPO Forum, our research agenda is member led. Each year we present a list of the research topics that we think would be most helpful to members and then let the members decide what is actually going to be accomplished in the coming year.
