GBPO is a thought leadership forum that lets a small community of practitioners come together to share Best Practices and experiences in the areas of global sourcing and business process management. The main focus of the forum is to increase the effectiveness of leaders within member organizations through shared information and experiences . To that end, the forum aims to bring together a quality audience of senior members from across a cross-section of industries including technology, telecom, retail, banking, financial and insurance services, travel, entertainment and media. Through first-hand experiences and case studies participants get an opportunity to explore specific opportunities, benefits and challenges that come with global sourcing. In addition our endeavour is to provide best practices research, executive education and member case studies – all designed to assist members with current business challenges and to help members avoid reinventing the wheel as they address problems that have been shared with their peers.
In the US, the GBPO forum is hosted by the University of Michigan in association with 24/7 Customer. In the UK, the event is hosted by the London Business School (LBS). 7 forum events have been held in the last 3 years and noted speakers from various fields including Tom Friedman and Prof C K Prahald have the led the forum discussions.
